[Lecture]Kim Wilkie

“Kim had an intense introduction to landscape. He grew up in the Malaysian jungle and Iraqi desert before being sent to school in southern England. Having studied history at Oxford and environmental design at the University of California, Berkeley, Kim set up his landscape studio in London in 1989. He is fascinated by the link between land and culture and between memory and imagination.”


I joined Kim's lecture as one of the detail week programmes. He outlined the three main themes towards a successful landscape- Survival, Cohabitation and Joy. The lecture and his works were unique and fantastic.

David Chipperfield - Form Matters

David Chipperfield is a london based architect. The exhibition contained lots of his models and concept, plan drawings so I was enable to look at the process of his design works. And I was impressive by the way of displaying. His building designs hugely and clearly drawn on the white wall and it were so effective. So that I could think if I have an opportunity to show my work how should I do be effective.

Fascinating concept drawings.

Using different materials for making models was interesting.
